Each project archived with DaSCH is assigned an access rights level that defines who can access it and under what conditions. DaSCH uses an adapted version of the COAR Access Rights Vocabulary v1.0 (Confederation of Open Access Repositories, December 2018).

Full Open Access

The project is immediately and permanently available online, free of charge for everyone, without any financial or technical barriers.

COAR original: open access

Open Access with Restrictions

The project is available within the system but with some form of restriction. This may include requiring user login, requesting access via email, or limiting access to specific communities or user groups.

COAR original: restricted access

Embargoed Access

The metadata is available immediately, but the project itself is not yet openly accessible. It will become available for open access on a specified date (the embargo end date).

COAR original: embargoed access

Metadata Only Access

Only the metadata describing the project is available. The project itself is not directly accessible, and there is no reference to an openly available copy.
